Application
Requirements

Be a US citizen and have a current, unexpired passport (Each person expecting to attend the cruise must have a valid passport that expires no earlier than April 2027)

Have proof of Purple Heart status
-
Sign a waiver and a 'participation' and 'hold harmless' agreement
-
Submit to a medical screening and provide medical records, if necessary
-
​Not have a serious PTSD/TBI condition or any addictive behavior including alcohol, drugs, gambling, etc. - a medical interview will be conducted
-
Be ambulatory, able to travel, wheelchairs are OK
-
A biography profile
-
Provide a list of current medications
-
Agree to a Media Release including name and photos being used by Warriors Honor Cruise

Provide at least 2 service photos and 2 recent photos upon selection

Provide own transportation to/from Port of Departure

Have a credit card for on board purchases (Carnival requirement)
ALL Required documentation will need to be provided to the Warriors Honor Cruise no later than 7 days after being notified of your selection. (Passport, DD214 Member Copy 4, and Proof of Purple Heart) If you do not provide this documentation we will have to move to the next selected applicant.

There are limits to each category for applicants:

PHR = Purple Heart Recipient
​

Category 1 - PHR who requires an ADA CABIN, and depends on a caregiver or spouse, and cannot adequately function or travel without one, 2 travelers will be funded

Category 2 - WHC who will be traveling with a caregiver or spouse, WHC will fund 2 travelers

Category 3 - PHR traveling with a spouse sharing 1 cabin will be funded. Any children's tickets needed will be at the parents expense.

Category 4 - PHR traveling solo who will bunk with another solo PHR, both PHRs will be funded
Categories
PARTICIPATION EXPECTATIONS

You MUST attend and participate in all 'official' or mandatory events on board

You MUST follow the guidance and direction of WHC Staff and Team Leaders
-
​You MUST attend all Seminar Classes, Group Dinners, Photo Sessions, WHC hosted events and Carnival hosted veteran events on board

Your spouses are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to attend the Spouses Seminar
-
You WILL reimburse Warrior's Honor Cruise $1500 if you are a NO-SHOW
SELECTION CRITERIA AND PROCESS

SELECTION CRITERIA: (review of applications starts February 1st, 2026 and notifications will be received by phone calls emailed)

Selection of applicants will be made by a committee of Board Members.

Different services - Different parts of the country - ​Different categories (see above for different categories)

The application period will CLOSE January 31st, 2026 or once WHC receives the maximum number of requests.
A Special Note: Number of Awards Based on Available Funding
We feel that all Purple Heart Recipients deserve to be acknowledged for their sacrifice no matter the degree of their injury and we regret we cannot fund each request. We applaud those who were fortunate enough to move beyond their pain and suffering to become success stories in their own right.

Extended family members, alumni, friends, donors and supporters are welcomed to sail with us at special group rates and participate in most group events.
